DefMin Dusa, in Campia Turzii, on Romanian Aviation and Air Forces Day

National Defence Minister Mircea Dusa on Saturday participates in the activities organised at General Emanoil Ionescu 71 Air Base of Campia Turzii (central Romania), on occasion of Romanian Aviation and Air Forces Day.

The event schedule includes static exhibitions of military technique, parachute dives and demonstrative flights with MiG-21 LanceR, IAK-52 aircraft and IAR-330 SOCAT and IAR-316 B helicopters of the Romanian Air Forces fleet, CF-18 Hornet aircraft of the Canadian Royal Air Forces, as well as aicraft of Romania's Air Club.

The Canadian and Romanian military in the beginning of May began a series of joint drills and training activities, with six fighter aircraft type CF-18 Hornet of the Canadian Royal Air Forces. The drills are aimed at strengthening the partnership between the Romanian and Canadian air forces.

The Canadian aircraft and staff (approximately 230 persons) will remain at 71 Air Base of Campia Turzii for three more months. AGERPRES
