Over EUR 140,000 raised for flood victims

BELGRADE - A total of over EUR 140,000 were raised for flood victims in the region at a humanitarian event held during the two-day Sea Dance festival, a part of the EXIT music festival staged in the Montenegrin resort of Budva.

The humanitarian initiative dubbed “Be Human” was organized by the EXIT Foundation within the program EXIT AID for flood victims in Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia, in cooperation with the municipality of Budva and Dukley Gardens, with the support of the Serbian and Montenegrin governments.

Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic, who also took part in the initiative that closed on Thursday evening, thanked organizers for collecting aid for those affected by the floods.

Pointing to the catastrophic floods that hit Serbia in May, Gasic extended thanks to members of the special units of the Montenegrin armed forces who came to Serbia's rescue and together with members of the Serbian military evacuated citizens from Obrenovac, the Belgrade municipality which was the worst affected by the floods.
