EXIT raises EUR 140,000 for flood victims

BUDVA -- A total of over EUR 140,000 was raised for flood victims in the region at a humanitarian event held during the two-day Sea Dance festival.

The event represents "second part" of the EXIT music festival, held this year in Novi Sad, Serbia and in Budva, Montenegro.

The humanitarian initiative was organized by the EXIT Foundation within the program EXIT AID for flood victims in Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia, in cooperation with the municipality of Budva and Dukley Gardens, with the support of the Serbian and Montenegrin governments.

Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić also took part and thanked organizers.

Referring to the May floods, Gašić "extended thanks to members of the special units of the Montenegrin armed forces who came to Serbia's rescue and together with members of the Serbian military evacuated citizens from Obrenovac, the Belgrade municipality which was the worst affected by the floods," Tanjug reported.
