Troicki makes successful comeback at Swiss Open

GSTAAD - Serbian tennis player Viktor Troicki qualified for the Swiss Open second round in Gstaad as he defeated Austria's Dominic Thiem in the Monday match, 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.

Troicki made a successful comeback to completion routines after a one-year suspension pronounced in July 2013 for violation of anti-doping regulations.

Ranking 847th on the ATP list, the Serbian tennis player showed in the Monday match against the world's 47th player that he has managed to preserve the potentials for prompt comeback to the circle of elite tennis players.

In the continuation of the tournament, Troicki will cross rackets with the winner of the match between the world's 330th player Inigo Cervantes Huegun of Spain and the 59th player on the ATP list Andrei Golubyev of Kazakhstan.
