Turkey’s first “interactive” nature museum is set to be opened in the southern province of
Antalya, with plants and animals unique to the region introducing to visitors in their own “technologically-enhanced” environment.

The museum will be located in the Termessos National Park with the support of the Mediterranean Development Agency.

As part of attempts to increase the recognition of Antalya and its surroundings for nature-based tourism, the museum also aims to raise awareness on the ecosystem and establish a natural education center.

The interactive nature museum will be equipped with technologies such as interactive
floor projections, interactive books, digital travel screens, a library database system, a presentation system and diorama stands. Hundreds of animal and plant species in Antalya and its surroundings will be shown at the museum.

The museum will also prevent the smuggling of unique species to museums and collectors abroad.
