Vucic: Report will confirm objectivity of EU institutions

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic stated on Tuesday that the publication of the report of the special investigative team headed by U.S. prosecutor Clint Williamson will confirm the objectivity of EU institutions and the international community in the investigation of crimes committed during the war in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM).

During the meeting with Williamson, Vucic said that the report on the findings in the investigation into human organ trafficking during the clashes in KiM in 1999 would bear exceptional importance for Serbia.

Vucic expressed gratitude to Williamson for his persistence in the investigation into the crimes, the Serbian government Office for cooperation with the media released.

From the very start, we expected an honest and objective approach, which Prosecutor Williamson asserted in the best possible way by his work and thus justified his reputation as a human rights fighter, Vucic said.
Williamson expressed gratitude to Serbian courts for exceptionally positive and efficient cooperation during the investigation.

Williamson arrived in Belgrade after his Monday visit to Pristina where he conferred with Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga.
According to the reports by Pristina media, Williamson briefed Justice Minister Hajredin Kuci, Minister of Interior Bajram
Redzepi and Defence Minister Agim Ceku about the results of the three-year investigation.

According to the media, the report of the international investigative team headed by Williamson will be released in Brussels on July 28.
