Russian citizen in suspected suicide in Antalya

Yekaterina Shmatova, a 25-year-old Russian citizen, was found dead in the southern Turkish province of Antalya on Aug. 11, in a house where she was staying with her Turkish boyfriend.

Police found the dead body of Shmatova in the bathroom, where she appeared to have hung herself using a scarf.

Her boyfriend, identified only as E.E., called the police after finding the body.

The couple was reportedly on holiday in the coastal province.

Police also found drugs in the house and have launched a probe into the incident.
