Foreign direct investments (FDI) in Romania totalled almost 1.2 billion euros in H1 2014, by 10.3% below the level in the same period of last year, reads a National Bank of Romania release issued on Wednesday for AGERPRES. 'Non-residents' direct investments in Romania amounted to 1.192 billion euros (down by 10.3% from January - June 2013), of which capital interests (including reinvested profit) totaled 1.114 billion euros, and intra-group loans - 78 million euros,' reads the BNR release.

* The facilities for energy production from renewable sources reached a total capacity of 4,670 MW at the end of June, 2014, according to the data supplied by Transelectrica. Thus the grid recorded wind power facilities with a 2,769 MW capacity, photovoltaic parks with a total capacity of 1,241 MW, micro hydro power plants of 560 MW capacity and biomass-based facilities with a total power of 100 MW. At the end of last year, the grid recorded facilities for energy production from renewable sources with a total capacity of 4,349 MW.

* The National Fund for Loan Guarantee for SMEs (FNGCIMM) signed conventions with six financiers for guaranteeing the loans accessed by the Agency for Payments and Interventions in Agriculture (APIA) beneficiaries, the Single Area Payment Scheme (SAPS) 2014, shows a Fund release remitted to AGERPRES on Wednesday. 'Starting today [on Wednesday], farmers will be able to access loans, benefiting from the FNGCIMM, with the aid of one of the six partner banks: CEC bank, Carpatica Commercial Bank, Romanian Commercial Bank, Transylvania Bank, UnicreditTiriac Bank and Garanti Bank, with other banks being scheduled to join in over the coming days,' the Fund's release shows.
