Police clear unexploded grenade in north Kosovska Mitrovica

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - The Kosovo police used a controlled explosion to neutralise an unexploded hand grenade in northern Kosovska Mitrovica on Saturday, in an area mostly populated by Serbs.

The hand grenade was discovered early on Saturday outside the entrance to a jewelry shop in the Ivo Lola Ribar street, according to Tanjug's reporter at the scene.

Two robbers stole around EUR 100,000 in jewelry from the shop in mid-May.

The grenade was found in the city centre, close to residential buildings and across a hotel.
