Water polo:Serbia beats USA for quarterinal vs. Kazakhstan

ALMATY - Serbia beat the United States 11-9 (0-2, 1-4, 3-1, 5-4) in a preliminary round Group A match at the 2014 Men's FINA Water Polo World Cup in Kazakhstan on Thursday.

With this victory, Serbia cemented their first place in the group, after previously beating Montenegro and South Africa.

Top scorers were Gavril Subotic and Viktor Rasovic with three goals each, and the others netting the ball were Srdjan Vuksanovic, Strahinja Rasovic, Nikola Eskert, Dusan Mandic and Sava Randjelovic.

As the best ranked team in Group A, Serbia will next face Kazakhstan, the fourth ranked team in Group B, in the quarterfinals on Friday.
