Dacic to attend Salzburg conference

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic will attend the conference entitled '1814, 1914, 2014: Lessons from the Past, Visions for the Future' in Salzburg on Monday and Tuesday, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs released.

On the second day of the conference which will end on August 29, Dacic will take part in the panel discussion entitled '2014: Contemporary crisis spots.'

Austrian President Heinz Fischer will open the conference and attendance was also confirmed by foreign ministers of Canada, Norway, Austria, Germany, Turkey, Japan, Italy, Sweden and Poland, as well as other officials, historians and reporters.

The conference aims to make room for an informal exchange of opinions between a group of leaders and experts from various social sectors, the release states.

The gathering is organised by ministers of foreign affairs of Norway and Canada, Salzburg Global Seminar and the International Peace Institute.
