Vucic receives outgoing Hungarian ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic received on Monday outgoing Hungarian Ambassador Oszkar Nikowitz and the two discussed Serbia's EU integration, the difficult nature of the reforms Serbia faces and Hungary's support for Serbia's EU ambitions.

Vucic and Nikowitz agreed that the relations between the two countries have improved over the past two years, the Serbian government office for media relations has stated.

Further progress in the relations between Serbia and Hungary can be expected in the future, the two officials said.

That mostly refers to economic cooperation, and particularly to cooperation in the construction of a railway between Belgrade and Budapest, as well as in other joint projects.

Vucic particularly stressed Nikowitz's efforts in improving the relations between the two nations and raising them to a very high level, the statement says.
