Preachers of hatred

Engaging in public dialogue regarding whether the anti-racism bill is mandatory and sensible is both legitimate and necessary at this current point in time.

In the meantime, however, regardless of the proposed legislation – which was tabled in Parliament following a number of delays and redrafts – local society must stand up to the latest wave of extreme racist incidents and attacks against other minorities, not to mention out-of-control anti-Semitism.

What is particularly unfortunate is that the number of those preaching hatred and practicing obscurantism in Greece have actually multiplied as of late.

It is becoming evident that these people are using every opportunity given to them to lead the country toward barbarism and the abyss of blind hatred.

Clearly, we must not allow them to succeed.
