Vucic congratulates Slovenia's new prime minister

BELGRADE - Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has congratulated Slovenia's new Prime Minister Miro Cerar on his appointment.

"I congratulate you on becoming Slovenia's prime minister. I look forward to working on joint priorities and strengthening our relations," Vucic stated in his message.

He hopes Cerar will continue to advocate a partnership with Serbia on its path to EU accession, the government office for media relations has said.

Vucic wished Cerar a lot of success in leading Slovenia.

The Slovenian parliament appointed Cerar as the new prime minister through a secret vote on Monday.
