More than 90 international leaders to attend Erdoğan’s inauguration ceremony
More than 90 international leaders and politicians are expected to attend Recep Tayyip ErdoÄanâs presidential handover ceremony.
At least 15 countries will be represented at the highest level at the event, however, the United States will send its Ankara Embassyâs chargÃ© dâaffairs, a rather low level participant compared to other countries.
Citing sources from the office of the Prime Ministry, DoÄan News Agency said todayâs ceremony has drawn international attention with representatives from all over the world expected to attend the event. Fifteen countries are to be represented at the level president or heads of state, 6 countries at the level of parliament speaker, 12 countries at the level of prime ministers, 3 countries at level of vice presidents, 7 countries at the level of deputy prime ministers and around 40 countries at the level of ministers, as well as representatives from 9 international organizations will all be present at the ceremony.
Albania, Benin, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Ethiopia, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Northern Cyprus, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Somalia, Togo, Turkmenistan and Ukraine are to be represented at the highest level, while parliament speakers from Argentina, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Serbia will also be in Ankara Aug. 28.
One surprise guest will be Armenia Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
