Man, 61, arrested for posing as state agency employee

A 61-year-old man has been arrested on charges of posing as a state agency employee and embezzling the sum of 2,500 euros from unsuspecting citizens in the northern port city of Thessaloniki and Halkidiki, northern Greece.

According to police, the suspect allegedly asked for a fee in exchange for ironing out red tape issues and helping people looking for employment in five different instances during the May-August period.
