Avramopoulos to become EU immigration commissioner, according to leaked document

Dimitris Avramopoulos, Greece’s representative on the new European Commission is expected to be appointed Migration, Fundamental Rights and Home Affairs Commissioner, according to a leaked document released by EurActiv news website on Thursday.

While new president-elect Jean-Claude Juncker was reportedly still in the process of interviewing candidates for the Commissioners posts, the draft organigram released by EurActiv was dated September 2.

The document showed each of the 27 commissioners being assigned a portfolio.
