Dacic-Deniau: Political dialogue improved

BELGRADE - Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic met outgoing French Ambassador Francois-Xavier Deniau on Friday and the two agreed that the dialogue between the two countries had improved.

Serbia and France are linked by a tradition of friendship, and their relations are intensive, they said.

The two agreed the political dialogue had improved through an exchange of high-profile visits and by strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.

Dacic thanked for France's continuous support to Serbia's EU intergation, adding that EU membership was Serbia's priority in foreign policy.

He pointed out that there is a significant number of French companies operating in Serbia, and that he expected investments from France to increase further.

Deniau thanked for good cooperation with the Foreign Ministry and other Serbian institutions and said he believed the friendly relations between the two countries would improve further.
