Drama hospice employee embezzled 170,000 euros from facility

A 50-year-old employee of a hospice for people with chronic illnesses in Drama, northeastern Greece, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of embezzling 170,000 euros from the state-funded care facility.

Authorities said that after failing to cover up her actions, the employee admitted taking the money.

Another member of staff at the hospice was arrested last year for allegedly stealing 40,000 euros from the center.
