National leader of UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, submits his bid to run for president

UDMR (Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania) chair, Kelemen Hunor, on Monday has submitted his bid to run for Romania's president to the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC).

He specified he collected more than 270,000 signatures.

"The keyword for me in this presidential campaign will be respect. I want a Romania that will know how to make itself respected, a powerful Romania, respected in the European Union and in the region and I believe that we have at this given moment all that we need, all the levers and advantages that we need, to become a powerful state in the region," Kelemen Hunor stated on the occasion.
