BEC to establish order of candidates on ballot on Tuesday; the 14 candidacies remain final

The Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) on Tuesday will establish by draw the order of appearance of the candidates and the election signs on the ballot papers, according to a decision adopted on Sunday.

Also on Sunday, BEC adopted the proceeding according to which the candidacies and election signs of the 14 politicians registered in the presidential elections remain final.

The Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR) on Sunday rejected the last challenge filed by a citizen. That was aimed at the registration of the candidacy of Zslot Szilagyi in the elections for Romania's Presidency on behalf of the Hungarian People's Party of Transylvania.

At the same time, the BEC members made a series of decisions concerning the data collection and the public opinion briefing on the voter turnout nationwide and on the conduct of the activity of the electoral bureaus of the polling stations and the operations of the election of the president.
