PM Vucic opens utility equipment factory in Senta

SENTA - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic opened a RASCO-TAMP Ltd. utility equipment factory in Senta on Tuesday and said that the Croatian investors need not worry about exports to Eastern markets, the EU or other countries.

"You can count on exports to the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belarus and also Turkey, with which, too, we have a free trade agreement, as we obviously do with the EU," Vucic said.

He said that he is certain that the investors will find Senta to be an excellent place for good business and that they will be truly and sincerely welcomed everywhere in Serbia.

The government will try to ensure that investors can earn as much as possible and hire more people in Serbia, he said.

Vojvodina Assembly Speaker Istvan Pastor said that he is pleased with the opening of the plant and told the Croatian investors that he believes that the decision to build a factory in Senta was a good one.

RASCO-TAMP CEO Frane Francevic thanked for the assistance in the investment, which is worth over EUR 2 million.

RASCO-TAMP is Europe's leading utility equipment maker, which exports 80 percent of its output to over 30 countries worldwide, including Great Britain, Spain, the Czech Republic, Norway and Russia.

The objective is to put Serbia on the map of major utility equipment makers, Francevic added.
