Romania can be an important pillar of stability in a region faced with so much turmoil in the recent time, and also China's gateway to EU in terms of economic relations, with China being the second biggest economy of the world, Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Tuesday stated at a reception organised by the Chinese Embassy in Bucharest.

'From the moment I took over as Prime Minister, first of all I wanted to learn from others. He said that the friendship and the political, economic and cultural relations developing between Romania and China are to the benefit of both countries.
