Senator Petru Filip, United Arab Emirates ambassador discussed Middle East topics

Senator Petru Filip, chair of the Foreign Policy Committee discussed the situation in Middle East with Sheik Ahmed Ali Hamad Al Mualla, the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Romania, a Senate release informed AGERPRES on Wednesday.

'Both parties underlined the importance of developing the bilateral relations, to which the parliamentary friendship group can and has to contribute substantially. To this effect, there was a proposition to arrange meetings of the members of the Romania — UAE parliamentary friendship group in order to strengthen the friendship and cooperation and to find all the guidelines for future bilateral activities,' the document reads.

As regards the situation in the Middle East, the officials voiced their opinion that any conflicts and disagreements should have political, peaceful solutions, exclusively through negotiations.AGERPRES
