Vucic, Reichel: Serbia makes visible progress on EU path

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and German Foreign Office Special Envoy for South-Eastern Europe, Turkey and the EFTA States Ernst Reichel stated on Thursday that Serbia has made visible progress on its EU path.

Vucic informed Reichel about the adoption of reform laws and announced that Serbia will soon become economically successful and prosperous country.

According to a release issued by the Serbian government Office for cooperation with the media, the two high officials agreed that Serbia has achieved considerable progress on its EU path, and expressed the expectation that the integration process, though difficult and complex, would be successfully completed.

Reichel qualified as positive the role of Serbia and Prime Minister Vucic in the strengthening of regional cooperation and improvement of stability in South-East Europe.

The meeting also covered the Conference of Western Balkan States held in Berlin in August.

During the meeting, the two officials especially underscored the importance of potential infrastructural projects and establishment of the Youth Association, the release states.
