Mali meets with European People's Party youth

BELGRADE - Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali received on Thursday at the Old Palace the members of the European People's Party (EPP) youth organization, and introduced them to the city and its potential, pointing to Belgrade as the city of the young.

Seventy youths from 22 European countries visited the City Assembly and discussed employment opportunities for young people in Belgrade and the Belgrade Waterfront project with the mayor.

Mali underlined that it is very important for him as Mayor to ensure future for the young people in Belgrade.

Providing jobs for the young is the greatest challenge for the government of Serbia and the city authorities, he added.

"Despite the difficult financial situation, Belgrade has an aggressive and ambitious investment plan intended to change the prospects and the appearance of the city," said Mali, pointing to the importance of the Belgrade Waterfront project.

The EPP Group is currently the largest in the European Parliament and gathers the EU's Christian-democratic and liberal-conservative parties.
