Actor Mircea Albulescu was celebrated on Saturday, the very day he turned 80, at the I. L. Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film (UNATC) of Bucharest, the maestro highlighting on this occasion that the one who doesn't love what he is doing lives for nothing.

The event started with a collage of sequences of the grand artist's filmography, made by director Laurentiu Damian.

The UNATC rector Adrian Titieni, handed over the great master a Diploma of Honour.

"Allow us that on behalf of the I. L. Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film of Bucharest and of the Film-makers Union of Romania to offer you this symbolic appreciation, a diploma, a booklet. With it we also offer you our thanks and joy that at your 80 years of age we managed to make it possible a reunion between students, professors and ... the professor. Thank you", said Adrian Titieni.

Master Mircea Albulescu thanked all the ones present for the emotions created and wished them all to climb "a step higher" than he did.

"I love my craft. He who loves not what he's doing, lives for nothing. May God give you all health and may you all climb up higher that I did, much higher", said Mircea Albulescu.AGERPRES
