Serbian Pensioners are in Worse Position than Albanian

The Ukraine is the only European country on the list based on quality of life for older people which is ranked worse than Serbia, says the Global movement for the rights of older people "Help Age".

On the ranking list, comprising 96 states, Serbia has taken the unworthy 78th place, "accompanied" by Venezuela, Turkey, South African and Asian states.

Serbia is undoubtedly at the lowest position in the region. Slovenia is ranked the high 29th place. Albania has taken the 53rd place, Croatia the 67th, and Montenegro is right behind, at the 68th place.
 

The best country for older people to live in is Norway, followed by Sweden and Switzerland. Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Island, USA, Japan and the New Zealand are also among the first 10 best ranked.
 

The quality of life for older people is the worst in Afghanistan, the country which is last ranked, then in Mozambique and in the Gaza strip.
 

The assessed criteria were capability, enabling environments, health- status and income security.
 

When it comes to capability, Serbia has taken the 92nd place. In the category enabling environments it was slightly better ranked (67th place), and considering the income security we have taken the 49th place.
