Foreign Ministry's Aurescu: Steady pace of missile defense cooperation allows Deveselu base commisioning in 2015

Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) Bogdan Aurescu attended on Tuesday the meeting of the Romania - US Joint Committee that manages the implementation of the Agreement between Romania and the United States on the activities of US forces stationed in Romania, with the Romanian official taking this opportunity to say that the steady pace of missile defense cooperation paves the way for duly rendering the Deveselu base operational in 2015.

According to a Foreign Ministry release this Tuesday, in remarks delivered at the beginning of the meeting, Bogdan Aurescu referred to the importance of the Romanian-American Strategic Partnership for the strengthening of bilateral cooperation on the security and defense dimension.
