ForMin: Continuing steps for legitimate return of Treasure in Moscow, duty of honor for Romanian state

Minister of Foreign Affairs Titus Corlatean has stated, on Tuesday, in Craiova, at the commemoration of 75 years since the beginning of World War II and the arrival of Polish refugees in Romania, that it is a duty of honour for the Romanian state to continue to ask for the legitimate return of Romania's Treasure that lies in Moscow.

Minister Corlatean has made the statement while evoking the arrival of the Polish refugees on Romanian soil after the conclusion of the Ribbentrop-Molotov pact and the invasion of Poland, "that meant, essentially, that tens of thousand of Poles found their refuge and escape on Romania's soil", as well as the safekeeping, in the National Bank of Romania's vaults, of over 3 tonnes of gold of Poland's Treasure that were returned at the end of the war.
