South Stream's construction depends on world powers

BELGRADE - Serbia's Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said on Tuesday Serbia awaited decisions from world powers when it came to the construction of the South Stream gas pipeline.

Washington appealed recently to break off the dirty deals related to South Stream.

Mihajlovic commented on this by saying that the construction of the pipeline depended mostly on the relations between the EU and Russia, and that Serbia awaited decisiong by world powers.

Those decisions have not come yet, except for the one from the EU saying that South Stream can be built, she pointed out.
