European bankers attend IT forum at NBS

BELGRADE - Officials of European countries' central banks met at the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) on Tuesday for a three-day forum on information and communication technology in central banks, the NBS has stated.

The meeting, the largest of its kind in Europe, was opened by NBS Vice-Governor Ana Gligorijevic and head of the IT Sector goran Kunjadic.

The most important topics are: management of operational risks, data security in a virtual environment, risks and control practices in the use of mobile devices, data exchange with the financial and non-financial sectors and BI applications.

"There will also be discussions about the architecture of data security and applied controle, planning and cost management related to IT projects and new technologies and challenges the IT sectors of central banks face," the statement says.

The forum is an opportunity to exchange information and ezperiences with colleagues from other central banks, and there will also be around 30 presentations.

The forum includes officials from the central banks of Greece, Finland, Belgium, Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Macedonia, Ireland, Italy, Russia, Latvia, Germany, Montenegro, Poland, France, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Switzerland and Portugal, along with employees of the NBS IT Sector.
