Krunic through to third round of the Kremlin Cup WTA

MOSCOW - Serbian female tennis player Aleksandra Krunic qualified for the third round of the Kremlin Cup WTA as she defeated France's Caroline Garcia, 6-4, 6-2.

Krunic received a special invitation from the cup organisers to take part in the competition. In the Tuesday match, she easily ousted the world's 36th player after just 54 minutes into the game.

In the next round, Krunic will cross rackets with Bulgaria's player Tsvetana Pironkova who beat Montenegro's Danka Kovinic, 6-2, 6-2.
