Solaris Resort gets Halal certificate

VRNJACKA BANJA - The Solaris Resort hotel in Vrnjacka Banja got a Halal certificate on Tuesday, and hotel manager Maja Remetic said on the occasion that this shows that the hotel is open to new markets.

Remetic noted that Solaris Resort is the first hotel in Serbia to receive a Halal certificate, and thus confirmed that it holds the leading position when it comes to introducing novelties in Serbia's hotel industry.

"It is important to us to attract, in cooperation with the municipality of Vrnjacka Banja, a large number of tourists from Islamic countries. The embassies of these countries in Serbia, with which we have good cooperation and whose staff often stay here, will help us achieve that," she said.

The Halal certificate proves that Solaris Resort in Vrnjacka Banja is well-prepared to welcome guests with special requests, said Director of the Agency for Halal Quality Certification when granting the certificate at the ceremony.

He noted that two-thirds of those consuming Halal-certified products in the EU are not Muslims.
