Dacic, Murphy on improvement in Serbia-U.S. cooperation

BELGRADE - Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and Chairman of the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on European Affairs Christopher Murphy discussed on Wednesday further improvement in political dialogue and cooperation between the two countries.

They agreed that the role of the U.S. Congress is important for further development of relations between Serbia and the U.S., the ministry of foreign affairs stated in a release.

Senator Murphy underlined that, at a multilateral level, the Congress is interested in cooperation with Serbia through the
OSCE's activities during the Serbian chairmanship of the organization in 2015.

Senator Murphy said that he is interested in improving economic cooperation with Serbia, especially concerning potential investments from the U.S. state of Connecticut, which he represents in the Congress, reads the release.
