Vucic, Murphy: Bilateral relations have improved

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met on Wednesday at the Serbian government with US Senator Christopher Murphy, who expressed gratitude for Serbia's commitment to the fight against terrorism, and the adoption of a law that prevents Serbian citizens from participating in armed conflicts abroad.

Vucic informed Murphy about the recently introduced legislation, and the reform measures that have been carried out and announced so far. The two officials agreed that Serbian-US bilateral relations have notably improved in the recent years.

Vucic stressed that US companies and investors are welcome to come to Serbia, noting that their increased presence would further strengthen the economic stability in the region.

The Serbian prime minister and the US senator also discussed the recent telephone conversation between Vucic and US Vice President Joseph Biden, in which particular emphasis was laid on Serbia's commitment to the continuation of the European integration process.
