ForMin Corlatean: Romania has had a trustful partner in the UN

Romania's Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean on Friday issued a message on October 24, the United Nations Day, the Romanian Foreign Ministry (MAE) reports.

'The 69th anniversary on October 24, 2014 of the United Nations Organisation, offers me a pleasant opportunity to reiterate Romania's constant commitment to the principles and objectives promoted by this international organisation. Born of the tragic experience of WWII, the organisation initiated and developed an increasingly more comprehensive system designed to ensure international peace and security, stimulate development and contribute to the human rights promotion and observance. In the context of deep-going geopolitical mutations generated by decolonisation, the consequences of the start and then the end of the Cold War, by the dynamics of globalisation and the new challenges it has generated, the UN has deployed efforts all through these years to keep the behaviour of the member states in line with the international law and in the spirit of international cooperation,' Corlatean says in his message.
