Bosnia Election Results Seal Nationalists' Triumph

The main Bosniak, Croatian and Serbian parties in Bosnia - the Party of Democratic Action, SDA, the Croatian Democratic Union, HDZ, and the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, SNSD  - were the principal victors of the October 12 general elections, the country's election commission has confirmed.

In spite of four years of political turbulence and economic stagnation, the three parties, which participated in the former government, expanded their support base.

The new members of Bosnia's tripartite Presidency are Mladen Ivanic, Bakir Izetbegovic and Dragan Covic.
