PM's counsellor Socol: World Bank report shows gov't support for business, economy stable

Romania has advanced to the 48th position among 189 countries ranked by the World Bank on the easiness of doing business, prime minister's counsellor Cristian Socol told AGERPRES on Wednesday. He mentioned a methodology change giving a higher weight to the quality of regulations and thus showing it was easier to do business in Romania than in Slovenia, Hungary, Turkey or Italy.

'The World Bank thus confirmed the quality of the efforts of PM Ponta's government to stimulate the business, and the fact that we have a stable economy, developing in an efficient way,' Socol said.
