Belgrade-based JDP to stage play in Prague and Graz

The Belgrade-based troupe's appearances are part of a First World War Centenary project named The Fallen Angel of History. The project has received support from the Serbian Ministry of Culture and Information of Serbia and the Union of Theatres of Europe (UTE).

It also includes performances by Czech Republic's and Austria's theaters at the JDP in Belgrade.

1914, a play directed by Robert Wilson, will be staged in Belgrade by the National Theatre from Prague on November 22, and a Schauspielhaus troupe will take to the stage to perform Talerhof, directed by Anna Badore, on November 27.

The Fallen Angel of History will continue with the play Diary about Carnojevic (Dnevnik o Carnojevicu), directed by Milos Lolic, which is a dramatization of a novel by the great Serbian writer of the 20th century, Milos Crnjanski.

It is expected to be premiered in mid-December, the JDP said.
