Serbia 1914 exhibition at Stockholm Military Museum
BELGRADE - An exhibition entitled Serbia 1914 will open at the Military Museum in Stockholm on Tuesday, organised by the Historical Museum of Serbia and the Belgrade Military Museum to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of World War One.
The exhibition is organised together with the Stockholm Military Museum and the Serbian embassy in Sweden and sponsored by the Serbian Ministry of Culture and Information and the Ministry of Defence.
The exhibition is meant to inform the visitors about Serbia's political, cultural and economic development in early 20th century, up until the start of World War One, about events that preceded this global conflict, like the Customs War, Annexation Crisis, Balkan wars, Sarajevo assassination and July Crisis, and Serbia's victories in 1914 in the battles of Cer, Drina and Kolubara.
Museum councillor Nebojsa Damnjanovic, higher curator of the Historical Museum of Serbia Snezana Solunac Jovic and curator of the Military Museum in Belgrade Vuk Obradovic are the authors of the exhibition.
Museum councillor Sladjana Bojkovic is the exhibition coordinator, while Historical Museum of Serbia curator Izabela Martinov Tomovic was responsible for the graphic design.
The exhibition will be open until January 7, 2015.
