Spanish companies in Serbia on cooperation in water sector
BELGRADE - A delegation of Spanish companies will visit Serbia on November 5 and 6, and the goal of the visit is to identify new forms of cooperation and possible investments in the area of water management, flood control, and water management and irrigation equipment.
Serbia has considerable water resources and therefore it needs better management systems and proper infrastructure so that it could use its potentials, the Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Spanish Embassy in Belgrade released in a statement.
Moreover, Serbia should ensure good water supply for domestic use and meet the needs in agriculture and industrial sector.
The Spanish delegation will visit relevant institutes and companies in Serbia with a view to developing joint projects in the areas where Spanish companies have considerable technological experience.
Spain has assumed the leading position in water management in the sixties when the country needed to increase the amount of drinking water in sunny and tourist areas.
The Spanish companies now provide drinking water to millions of users worldwide simultaneously meeting the growing needs in the industrial and agricultural sector using eco-friendly technology, the statement reads.
The visit is organized by the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) in cooperation with the Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Spanish Embassy in Belgrade.
