Ambassador But backs soonest possible opening of Chapter 32

BELGRADE - Serbia's Minister without portfolio for European Integrations Jadranka Joksimovic on Wednesday received a farewell call from outgoing Slovenian Ambassador Franc But, who said that Slovenia supports Serbia's European path and the soonest possible opening of negotiation chapter 32.

Joksimovic and But discussed the progress in the European integration process and economic reforms being carried out by the Serbian government, an official statement said.

It is significant for Serbia to open one negotiation chapter in the accession process by the end of this year, which would be a positive signal of EU support, as well as a signal to the reform process, Joksimovic noted.

This is very important for maintaining and strengthening public support for European integrations, Joksimovic also said.
