The Romanian voters living abroad can use the form of the declaration on their own responsibility that they had not already cast a vote in the presidential runoff on Nov. 16 from the websites of the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) and the Foreign Affairs Ministry, which they can fill in outside the polling station too, but must sign before the polling station bureau members, the Central Electoral Bureau has decided.

The Bureau made a decision on Tuesday regarding several measures aimed at the proper organisation and conduct of the second round of voting for the election of the president of Romania at the polling stations from abroad, following a meeting with the Foreign Ministry officials and representatives for the Electoral Bureau No. 48 for the polling stations based abroad.

Thus, the BEC, 'given the need to smooth the voting process in those polling stations' decided that the declaration form shall be made available the voter by the chairman or a member of the polling station bureau, with the voters having the possibility to use the form posted on the BEC website www.bec2014.ro and the Foreign Ministry's www.mae.ro.

The Bureau also decided that such declaration form may be filled in by the voters outside the polling station, with the document to be signed and dated only before the members of the polling station electoral bureau.AGERPRES
