Exit, Sea Dance among top European festivals

NOVI SAD - This year, too, EXIT has found its way to the list of 12 best major European festivals, based on votes from over 1.2 million people around the world.

Also on the list are Denmark's Roskilde, Belgium's Tomorrowland, Hungary's Sziget and Germany's Rock am Ring, the European Festival Awards (EFA) announced.

This was EXIT's seventh nomination in the Best Major European Festivals category at the European Festival Awards after it won the title last year, fending off competition from more than 360 festivals in 34 countries.

Sea Dance, too, has apparently won the hearts of the audience, having reached two finals after as many nominations - for Best New Festival and Best Medium Size Festival.

The two festivals, both part of EXIT Adventure, thus entered the race for prestigious festival titles. The winners, to be selected by audiences across Europe and the EFA jury - comprised of prominent figures in the festival industry - will be announced at the awards ceremony at the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival in Groningen, the Netherlands, on January 14, 2015.

Exit Adventure is a several-day event including Exit Festival, held in Novi Sad, and Sea Dance Festival, staged at Jaz Beach, near the historic town of Budva in Montenegro.
