Bulgaria’s President to Arrive in Poland on 2-Day Official Visit

Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev will pay an official visit to Poland on November 18-19.

The main topics on the agenda of the talks between Plevneliev and Bronislaw Komorowski in Warsaw will include opportunities for fast-tracking bilateral trade, economic, and investment relations, as well as priority issues for Bulgaria and Poland which also have EU-wide importance, according to the press office of the Bulgarian President.

During the visit, Plevneliev will hold meetings with the Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz, Bogdan Borusewicz, Speaker of the Senate, and Elżbieta Radziszewska, Deputy Marshal of the Sejm.

Plevneliev will visit the Warsaw Stock Exchange and will acquaint Polish business representatives with opportunities for bilateral economic cooperation, investments, and tourism in Bulgaria.

Bulgaria's head of state will also hold a meeting with representatives of the Bulgarian diaspora at the Bulgarian Embassy in Warsaw.

On November 19, Plevneliev will lay a wreath at the Gdansk-based monument which pays tribute to those killed in the events in 1970.

Plevneliev will also meet with the Governor of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Ryszard Stachurski.
