The Greek bourse continued rising on Thursday, albeit at a much slower pace due to investors exercising caution ahead of the results of Athens’s negotiations with its creditors and Fitch’s credit rating report.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index reached 959.85 points, adding 0.54 percent to Wednesday’s 954.69 points. The large-cap FTSE/ATHEX 25 index expanded 0.52 percent to 310.20 points.

While banks headed lower (down 0.11 percent), other blue chips recorded a significant rise, such as Ellaktor (up 9.43 percent), GEK Terna (4.42 percent) and Viohalco (3.18 percent). Hellenic Exchanges fell 1.86 percent.

In total 60 stocks posted gains, 48 took losses and 26 stayed put.

Turnover amounted to 74 million euros, down from Wednesday’s 89.7 million.
