Weightlifting: Andreea Aanei wins tree silver medals in European Junior and U23 Championships of Limassol

Romanian woman athlete Andreea Aanei, with Olimpia Bucharest Sports Club, on Saturday won three silver medals in the European Junior and Under 23 Weightlifting Championship of Limassol, Cyprus, in the U23 +75 kg bodyweight category.

Romania's representative took the second position on the podium in the snatch lift (106 kg) and in the clean and jerk lift (135 kg), as well as overall (241 kg), after Russian Ekaterina Iutvolina, triple gold medalist.

Aanei concluded the participation of the Romanian athletes in this competition, the delegation headed by Romanian Weightlifting Federation (FRH) President Nicu Vlad going to return to Romania on Sunday, FRH points out in a release.

The Romanian athletes' record in the European Championship of Cyprus numbers 12 medals in the Under 23 category (3 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze), while the Junior category boasts 11 medals (1 gold, 8 silver and 2 bronze). AGERPRES
