Dacic, Tsipras: Economic cooperation should be intensified

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Greek opposition leader Alexis Tsipras have stated that the two countries should intensify cooperation, especially in the economic field.

Assessing bilateral relations as traditionally friendly, the two officials agreed on Saturday that it is a common goal to foster cooperation, especially in the economic field, and also in the areas of infrastructure, energy and culture, reads a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Greek party has once again voiced its support to Serbia's EU integration pathway and reiterated its unchanged stance of not recognizing Kosovo's unilateral proclamation of independence.

During the talks, the two sides pointed to the need for closer political cooperation, which means holding high-level meetings more often, sessions of the two governments, and also the possibility of trilateral cooperation with the countries in the region.
