Vucic invites Slovenian companies to invest in Serbia

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met on Monday with Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Jankovic and invited Slovenian companies to invest in Serbian economy, particularly in agriculture.

Vucic informed Jankovic about the economic measures carried out by the Serbian government with an aim to improve the investment climate, and about the planned projects such as Belgrade Waterfront.

Jankovic stressed the importance of infrastructure investments in cities in the region, pointing specifically to Belgrade Waterfront as the most significant.

The two officials also discussed the potential for economic and cultural cooperation between the capitals of Serbia and Slovenia, which have been "sister cities" since 2010.
